PATIENCE Bible Verse of the Day. April 11

bible verse of the day

The Bible verse of the day is about patience. Patience is forbearance or endurance. It is the ability to wait for something without getting tired.

Bible Verse of the Day

“But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” (James 1:4).

Patience is not only a virtue that Christians are supposed to have, but it is a fruit of the Holy Spirit that we should bear.

Patience is tested during trials and temptations, as it is usually easy to give up on our faith when faced with problems.

Job in the bible is considered a man of patience because despite being tempted a lot by the devil, he patiently endured and never gave up waiting upon the Lord.

He endured the pain and the loss that he was going through without wavering his faith in God. He didn’t give up on the way until God came to the rescue and restored him to his original position.

Many are the promises of God that God has spoken to us through His word. Although these promises might not appear as instantly as most expect, they might take the time it now calls upon us to practice patience.

For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. (Hebrews 10:36)

We should know that when we pass through various trials, our faith is being tested for it to produce patience. That is why when James writes to believers, he tells them to count it all joy when they fall into various trials. (James 1:2)

When we develop patience as a fruit of the Holy Spirit, we will never complain when things are not manifesting physically, even if we constantly trust God and worship Him. Our faith will be built on His word; even though it may take time, we will continue trusting God.

Prayer for Today

Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for everything happening in our lives. We thank You for Your promises written in Your word concerning us.

We choose to wait upon you patiently for the right time that you have ordained to manifest these promises. We believe you are a faithful God, and you shall bring it to pass just as you promised; for that reason, we will wait. We love you and praise you in Jesus’ name; we pray. Amen.
