Bodies are the Temple of God – Prayer for April 25. Our body is so precious to God that he wants to dwell in it to take control of things; If there is anything we should want on this Christian journey, it is for God to dwell in us.
Bible Verse for Today
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.” (1 Corinthians 6:19)
It doesn’t really matter the shape of your body, what people call you. The main thing you should be concerned about is what inside the body.
“Is God in my body?” that is the real question. If you know that God is in your body, what people call you won’t matter to you.
The secret is that God wants to dwell in your whole personality, which includes not only your soul but also your body.
He’s always saying to us to open the door of our hearts to him. Revelations 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Don’t think of your look; it makes you think you’re not good enough.
Open your heart unto the Lord and he will reside in you.
When you allow God to come to you, he comes with full power, light will shine on you. God cannot be in you and still be experiencing failure, poverty, or any kind of bad situation. He will make things go in the right way for you.
Bodies are the Temple of God Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, I surrender my body to you; make it your home, your temple. Any ungodly thing you find there, cast them out by your power. I hold back nothing from you Lord, and I give everything to you to be in charge. I don’t care what people say about my body; I don’t want to be carried by the comment of people because what is essential is for you to live in me.
Today Lord, let people see you in me and let your power manifest in me. Let my body be used for your glory alone. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
