If you don’t really know how you should start with the Prayer or in what order it should go, it’s not a problem and we hope this will help. Jesus gave us a pattern in which we should pray (Matthew 6:9-13).

Structure of the Short Good Morning Prayer:

Short morning prayer structure tips
  1. Worship.
  2. Thanksgiving.
  3. A prayer of petition for yourself.
  4. Prayer of intercession.

You are free to pray as your heart desires. But experience shows that it is good to have a structure for prayer.

  • Worship and Thanksgiving should come first. It’s the morning, you should be grateful to God for the grace to see a new day. Praise God in songs, Psalm 59:16 “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.”
  • The next thing is the Prayer of the petition. All the challenges, goals, and desires of your day. Ask whatever you want for the day, ask for protection and provision (Matthew 7:7).
  • Also, ask for forgiveness according to Matthew 6:12: “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.”
  • Also in the prayer of intercession, do not forget your family and loved ones. Especially if you know they need God’s help or protection.

What is the best time for Christian Morning Prayer?

Psalms say: “In the morning, O LORD, hear my voice. In the morning I lay my needs in front of you, and I wait.” (Psalm 5:3), “I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:147).

Looking at these scriptures, we can see that early morning, immediately you wake up, is the best time to start your Morning Prayer. The day starts when you wake up and from that time you need God’s help and protection, His care and blessing in everything you do.

The best time: early morning, immediately after you wake up is the best time to start.

Morning Prayer duration

Sometimes we rush in the morning because we wake up late and we want to get to work or anywhere early, so we think we have missed the proper time to pray. Prayer is close communication between you and God, you can be in a rush and still pray while doing the chores or dressing up.

It is just like you making a phone call while you are in a rush. God understands and hears you, all you need is just to talk to Him. No matter how short is your prayer is, God hears it.

When you make your request known to God from your heart, with deep faith, He will surely answer because He looks at your heart.

What do you need for Morning Prayer?

The most important things needed for the Christian Morning Prayer are your faith and sincerely open heart.

Address our Lord with some sincerely thankful words and ask for care and help in your daily works, if you have not much time this particular morning.

Also, it is advisable to have some positive declarations that we can say in the Morning Prayer when we are in a rush. Positive words cause positive things to happen.

The declarations should be Bible-based, they should be taken from the Word of God. These words can be written down and mastered but, they must be declared with meaning that is from the heart and not just like an ordinary poem.
