Be fully obedient to God – Prayer for October 7. Praise the Lord everybody! No matter how much you may think you’re living right, there is always something deep inside that God sees that He wants to expose and free you from. And if we let Him have his way in our lives He will purify us for His service.
Bible Verse for Today
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.
Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kind, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way and flee before thee seven ways.” (Deuteronomy 24:1-7)
This scripture starts out saying if we would “hearken diligently” unto Gods voice and follow “all His commandments” that we will be blessed in all the ways written above. Our desire as Christians should be to be diligent in our quest to be fully obedient to God. This is no time for half measures, God is calling His soldiers up to the front lines and we are His soldiers.
Obedience, one of the keys to the Kingdom
The more you search the scriptures the more you realize how important holiness and obedience are to God, and how important it is that His people separate themselves from the world. Everybody is seeking Gods blessing, praying diligently and watching televangelist who preach faith and prosperity. We all want it, but few of us are willing to do what it takes to get it.
God gave the people His basic instructions in the first verse, and those instructions still apply today. Obedience, one of the keys to the Kingdom. God bless you all.
Be Fully Obedient to God Prayer for Today
Father God, help us to be more obedient to your word and your statutes, not just for your abundant blessings, but because you love us, and we love you. Lord help to always hunger and thirst after your righteousness. We promise to be fully obedient to God. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
