Jesus Takes my Burdens Away – Prayer for April 24. Anything that is causing you to worry a lot, that is not giving so much joy is a burden and can weigh you down. Let’s tell God to take our burdens away.
Bible Verse for Today
“Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.” (Psalm 55:22)
There are some situations we are facing that we feel we can fight problems ourselves when we try our best to solve them and solutions were not coming, we become frustrated then it starts giving us concern.
As Christian, we should know that not all situations we can handle by ourselves that is why God is there to help us out of these. Exodus 14:14 “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” When you carry your burden yourself you will become weak and that is why Jesus is calling us to pick up his own that is light. Matthew 11:30 “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Some years back when I started a ministry, it was not easy. I probably didn’t hear God’s calling because I thought it shouldn’t be so hard. I kept trying my best to make things right for all to be done in the right way.
Then when I prayed to God asking why it was hard, he told me it was never my job to make everything go well. I realized I have been using my own powers that can fail to do things, then I surrendered all to God and things became easy.
Don’t make things hard unnecessarily for yourself, give all to God and he will take control.
Jesus Takes my Burdens Away Prayer for Today
Lord, you have told us to cast our burden on you and you will take care of us. I, therefore, cast all the burdens that I’m carrying that are weighing me down and hindering me from doing your will on you today. Lord fight for me, fight for my family, take care of me and help me to be free. The burden on my family is lifted today in Jesus’ name. Amen.
