Keep God first in your life—Prayer for April 21. God doesn’t like any Christian who is inconsistent in serving him. He wants us to be hot and boiling daily in our service. We must take the things of God seriously and do them with joy. So, let’s tell God to help us do things in a way that pleases him.

“So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:16)
God will reject those who ignore Him and are indifferent. God will not send people who are not serious about his work. So you can’t be serving God and be serving another thing.

Keep God first in your life and all you do. No one can serve two masters; you must choose one and drop the other. Matthew 6:24: “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate and love the other or be devoted to and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” We have to be devoted to the things of God. So then, when we do the things of God with all our hearts and with seriousness, he will bless us.
You might face many things today that want you to put God aside or even forget God. So when you step out of your house in the morning, you must remember that in any situation, you find yourself, God, first.
Keep God First in your Life Prayer for Today
Lord, I thank You for your unending love. While I was a sinner, You sent Your son to die for my sin. I thank You for this great love. But, in any way, I have been so unserious with You, and with your works, Lord, please have mercy and draw me back to You.
Lord, I don’t want to live an unserious life again. I want to be serious with You and do your work with all my heart. I want to stop being lukewarm and concentrate on You only. I promise to keep God first in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
