DRAWING CLOSER TO GOD IN PRAYER Devotion for March 30

Drawing Closer to God in Prayer

Drawing closer to God in prayer – Devotion for March 30. Every day of our lives, we must be getting closer to God. We do some things that take us away from God and we are not conscious of this. Let’s tell God to teach us how we can get more close to him.

Bible Verses for Today

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

When we read the word of God every day, we get inspired to know more about him. The word of God gives life because the word is alive and active.

We are expected to believe in the word and do according to all that it says. Jesus is the word of God and he has been in existence before the earth was formed, he was with God (John 1:1). The word became flesh and came to live with us to draw us closer to the father [God]. There is no other way that we can take to get closer to God except through Jesus. Only he drawing closer to God in prayer.

We must believe in the living word, when we believe in him and follow him, he then leads us to God.

The work of Jesus on earth is to draw us closer to God, to make us know that God is a loving Father. Then if we must get closer to God we must follow the word and the word is Jesus. When you are going out, read the word and speak it – when you are coming in, read the word and pray.

The more you read and pray it the more you move closer to God.

Drawing Closer to God in Prayer

Lord, let nothing separate me from you today. I want to keep drawing closer to you through your word, the only way, Jesus Christ. Teach me how to choose only you and direct my steps that will lead me closer to you. Help me to overcome temptations that might want to take me away from the right path. Protect me from misleading thought and keep me away from people that will direct me to the wrong path. Keep me close to you Lord. Amen.
