Be like Jesus Christ – live, love, pray like the Son of God. Prayer for March 12. We are Christ-like; our attributes must then be the same as those of Jesus Christ. Not only physical attributes, but spiritual attributes, which include power.
Bible Verse for Today
“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma” (Ephesians 5:1-2).
One of the major attributes in Jesus we must also imitate is the spirit of love.
Jesus showed love to everybody, and he never showed favoritism. Jesus showed love because he knew God. 1 John 4:16 “Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”
Jesus demonstrated his power by doing miracles. You can also be like Jesus by doing miracles.
To clear your doubt about this, Jesus said in John 14:12 that “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
We just have to believe that we can. Jesus was also full of wisdom; even though he was wise, he was at the same time humble and ready to learn (Luke 2:46).
Prayer for Today
Lord, I thank you for my life in your hands. I’m depending on you alone, and I know you cannot put me to shame. I thank you for saving my soul from destruction.
Every one of my mistakes, Lord, forgive me. Wash me with your precious blood, change my heart, and create in me a clean heart.
I desire to be like you, Lord Jesus. I want to be holy, I want to be powerful, I want to be filled with wisdom, and I want to be great. Lord, teach me your ways and make me be like you, my savior. Let people see you in me. I know when they see you in me, they are seeing greatness, power, holiness, success, wisdom, and excellent work in me. Amen.
