God knows you personally Devotional for Today October 15

Devotional for Today, October 15. You may have heard it said many times that God knows us better than we know ourselves. And that’s true because He is our Creator. God knows you personally, right down to the core of your personality.

Devotional for Today, October 15

You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar. (Psalm 139:1-2)

God knows and loves each person personally. His love and mercy are not some abstract declarations or philosophical treatises. God brings His love to each person personally. He responds to each person’s trouble specifically, in the person of Jesus. That’s how God works.

To demonstrate this clearly, Jesus goes to the lost to meet them personally. He seeks them out, sympathizes with them, defends them, and has lunch with them. Jesus is not ashamed of their fellowship. On the contrary, Jesus invites all to come to Him with their concerns and the needs of their souls.

This behavior of Jesus is condemned and reproached for being a “they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.'” (Matthew 11,19; 9,11)

But Jesus does not abandon his mission because He knows why He is doing so. He understands those who condemn him because he knows they do not understand God’s thinking. That is why Jesus continues with patience and teaches all those around him. He encourages everyone he meets, “Do not be afraid. God knows your pain.”

God Knows You Personally

Because God knows us, we can breathe easier and open our hearts to Him. It may seem like it is the end and that you have failed and will never rise again. But that is not the case because Heavenly Father wants to heal and restore your life. It may seem impossible to you. But remember, there are no impossible things for God. Trust in Him.

Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, in the midst of my most incredible pain, panic, and fear, I trust in You. You know me personally, and You know my troubles. That is why I do not run away from you or shut myself in. I come to You because You alone are my true comfort and strength. In your presence, I acknowledge my weakness and limitations. My loving Father in heaven, help me, as you have already helped me many times. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
