God’s gift of wisdom – Prayer for June 30. “He that is wise will save his soul but the fool will perish.” Wisdom is so much important in this life and as Christian, we must do all it takes to get it. We must get knowledge and understanding too.
Bible Verse for Today
For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her. (Proverbs 8:11)
Just imagine yourself holding a valuable object and then you see an object that is worth much more than the one you are holding, what will you do? It’s a sure thing that you will go for the one that has more value. That is what the scripture is telling us. Wisdom is far precious and has more value than any other thing you can think of. So why waste your time chasing something that is not of value?
King Solomon knew how important this treasure is and that it is more precious than money. So when God told him to ask for anything, he didn’t bother asking for something that has no value, he asked for wisdom. God wants you to ask for the same thing today.
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Wisdom is something God is ready to give at a free will to anyone that may need it and ask.
If you know you lack it, ask and you will receive it. This is a promise from God to us. In whatever you might have in kind to do today, you need the wisdom of God to do it well – as a student, as a business person, you need the wisdom of God to rule and dominate. Ask God just like King Solomon did and you will also be filled with the wisdom of God.
God’s Gift of Wisdom Prayer for Today
Solomon asked for wisdom to rule and you gave him, he asked because he knew that it is a treasure needed to rule and you have told us to ask for wisdom and so I ask today – Lord, give me wisdom knowledge, and understanding to rule and to take charge over everything. Amen.
