Growing together in Christ – Prayer for January 22. We, Christians, need to start caring for each other because we are bonded by the blood of Jesus, which makes us family. Let’s learn to pray for others.
Bible Verse for Today
“as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.” (2 Corinthians 1:11)
It is the will of God to bless everyone and to make everyone care for each other. When Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” it is not only about giving, but also about praying for and encouraging each other.
Intercession is the process in which a person positions themselves between two people, one with a need or problem and the other with the answer or solution. As a teenager or an adult, you are not too young or old to pray for people. Many people have taken the work of God on themselves, and missionaries have gone to every part of the world to ensure the gospel reaches everyone, regardless of the consequences.
If you can send gifts, your prayer can get to them, too.
When someone needs your help, it’s better to pray with them; it’s a sign that you care. Jesus never stopped praying for his disciples and the people; he took it upon himself to intercede for people.
Devotional for every day: Daily Devotional
If we are born of Christ and called to be in his circle, we must find ourselves doing what he does, which is part of intercession. The secret of praying for others is that God will never leave your case unsettled; he will answer your needs. Please don’t feel worthless when you find it impossible to meet people’s needs.
Prayer for Today
Dear Lord, I worship you for the mercy you have shown me by allowing me to be alive today. I thank you, Lord Jesus, for never stopping to pray for us from heaven. I pray that you teach me to be selfless and pray for others every time. Let my prayers be answered, Lord. Amen.
