Place of Grace – Prayer for February 4. The place where we must dwell all the time as Christians is in the place of grace and safety. We must do all it takes to remain in the place of grace. This is the only place where we can be sure of abundant grace and security.
Bible Verse for Today
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).
The grace of God is sufficient for us, as it is written in the scriptures, but for that to happen, we must certainly be in the place of grace.
The enemy (Satan) is going about looking for whom to devour. If we are not in the secret place where we can be sure of safety, then we might become prey. Psalm 91:1 says: “He that dwells in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”. The secret place is the name of the Lord, we have been given that name to use and to use it to cocoon us.
The name of Jesus is a strong name, a pillar that we must hold onto. When the storm blows, we need to hold onto the name. When trouble surfaces, we have no better place than the name of Jesus. Proverbs 18:10 says: “The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and they are saved”.
Let us start using the name of Jesus, it is a powerful name that guarantees safety and is full of grace.
Prayer for Today
I thank you because you are my secret place, in you, there is safety and grace abound. Your grace is sufficient for me all day. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I trust in you for protection.
Lord, wherever I go today, wherever I am, help me to remain in you. Help me not to walk out of you, the place of safety. Be my shield and fortress. Let no evil come near me and keep me safe from the arrow that flies by day. Amen.
