Keep Calm and Love God, Lord Is on Your Side – Devotional for February 27
Stay calm and trust in God’s love, because the Lord is on your side. Do not allow anything to stop you from becoming the person God intended you to be. Take every step necessary to keep moving forward. You can ask God to help you progress and to remove any barriers in your path.
Always remember that God is for you.
Bible Verse for Today
“What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel, you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!'” — Zechariah 4:7 (NIV)
Identifying the Obstacles
There are mountains that stand as obstacles between us and the things God wants us to achieve. These challenges might appear as obstacles to achieving your goals. Sometimes, these mountains take the form of people who criticize your steps or individuals in power who try to stop your advancement.
You can be sure that God will turn these mountains into plains. He is able to level the ground before you so that you can walk past every hindrance.
Faith Over Fear
When difficulties arise to block your progress, do not let fear take hold. Fear causes us to stand still, but God wants us to keep moving. Stay calm and rest in His love rather than wasting your time with worry. Call on the Almighty, knowing He is on your side.
It does not matter how large or strong the mountain seems to be. God will make the path smooth so you can walk right over it. If you sense a “mountain” in your way today, act in faith. The Spirit within you is greater than any obstacle, and that mountain shall become level ground.
Prayer for Today
Thank You, Lord, for all You have done in my life. Thank You for Your faithfulness yesterday, and I trust You for an even better day today. You are the one who makes hindrances disappear and turns mountains into plains. If anyone or anything tries to block my path today, please clear the way. Make my way smooth and help me move forward with purpose. I refuse to be stopped or held back by any circumstance. Amen.
To You
Think about the biggest “mountain” in your life right now. Instead of looking at its height, visualize God leveling the ground beneath your feet. Say a short prayer of thanks that the path is already being cleared.
