LORD HAVE MERCY Prayer for January 3

Lord have mercy

Lord have mercy – Prayer for January 3. Mercy is something we should pray for every day because, without mercy, we will not be called the son of God. It is the mercy of God that will make us perfect before the Lord. Let’s ask for His mercy today.

Bible Verse for Today

For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” (Romans 9:15)

God has promised to have mercy on whom he will have mercy, but who are those that God will have mercy on? This is the question most of us ask ourselves every day. Something about God is that he wants us to ask for whatever we need.

Asking is important – the Bible, on different occasions, told us that asking God is the best thing. God then promised to do everything we ask him. Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

The answer to the question of who God will have mercy on is that God will have mercy on anyone who asks for mercy. We need to ask for mercy every day.

Praying to God is essential to us as Christians, but the chance to go to God in prayer is the mercy we have received, and we have received it through Christ.

We must cherish this and keep asking for more every day. It is by mercy that God will justify us because mercy will always triumph over judgment. James 2:13 “For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” If we receive this mercy by asking for it from God through Christ, we will be justified and receive God’s compassion, which is followed by grace.

Devotion for every day: Prayer for Today

Prayer for Today

Lord, be merciful unto me. Show me your mercy today. In all I do, I pray that your mercy will make a way for me and make all things work together for my good. Anyone who wants to go against me or plan evil against me, let your mercy set me free from their hands. I also pray for your grace, your grace that makes one great and free, let me be found with it. Let your grace and mercy fill my life today. Amen.
