WE LOVE GOD BY OBEYING HIS COMMANDS Prayer for July 14

we love God by obeying his commands

We love God by obeying his commands – Prayer for July 14. We sometimes do some things and think we are doing what God wants. It’s been said that “Delay in obeying is disobedience.” Are we obeying God? Let’s obey God by doing it correctly and not please ourselves.

Bible Verse for Today

Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine. (Exodus 19:5)

There is nothing like half obedience. It’s either you obey fully, or you disobey. You can put yourself in check to know how far you can go by obeying God.

“Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it” (Luke 11:28). The three Hebrew tested their obedience when they were told to bow and worship the image the king set up, but they refused. What they were doing was just obeying what God says, which is, “You shall have no other gods before me.”

To be sure they are obeying God to the fullest and not halfway, they replied to the king in Daniel 3:17-18 “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve can deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.

But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Moses obeyed with all his heart, even to the point of killing his son. God told us to put our hearts into whatever we are doing. Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

This means that the energy we have, we should put into obeying God and using it to fulfill whatever he wants us to do.

We Love God by Obeying His Commands Prayer for Today

Lord, if I am doing anything wrong thinking I am following your orders, please forgive me and redirect my steps. Create in me a heart of obedience, not partial obedience but total obedience to your word. As I obey you, Lord, let the blessing of obedience be mine in Jesus’ name. Amen.
