Let the power of God work in us. Prayer for November 14

power of god working in us

Let the power of God work in us. Prayer for November 14. Praise the Lord, everybody! Unfortunately, there seems to be a PC backlash going on in this world. At one time, everybody appeared to be very concerned about the political correctness of their conversations in their everyday relationships. However, that seems to be changing these days.

We have come to expect these things from the world, but it is pretty concerning when you see them creep into the Body of Christ, God’s people. There is a disconnect going on, a disconnect between the heart, mind, and mouth. So many words do not reflect the position of the heart.

Bible Verse for Today

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. (James 1:26)

A lot of us who claim to be disciples of Christ and Holy men and women of God have perfected the art of appearing “religious” but allow gossip, backbiting, and judgmental words to come out of our mouths, directed toward our brothers and sisters in Christ, we are only fooling ourselves and our religion is in vain.

The time has come when people can no longer slide by avoiding the spiritual. The time has come when every man and woman has to make a choice. And it’s our job to let them know what those choices are. We don’t have to be obnoxious but must become more determined. We must go forward with compelling testimonies, preaching, and teaching; even our lifestyles should be exciting.

God wants His “house,” His Kingdom, to be full of people. And our job is to allow Him to work through us to make it happen. So God, through His Spirit, calls us to go and invite lost people to come and be saved.

But for our proclamation to bear fruit, our words must be true. They must be consistent with our heart position and lifestyle. Therefore, false political correctness in the proclamation of the Gospel will not bear fruit. God bless you all.

Let the Power of God work in us Prayer

Father God, forgive us for becoming lax in our soul-winning. Lord, forgive us for disobeying your orders. God, help us to be more diligent in going out and compelling the lost to come into your “house” so that it may be full. Please help us to seize every opportunity that comes our way. Let the power of God work in us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
