SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD Prayer for November 1

seek first the kingdom of god

Seek first the Kingdom of God – Prayer for November 1. The devil wants to tempt us to live at the lowest level, but God challenges us to set ourselves high goals. One of the worst mistakes we can make is to be complacent and content with our achievements. Low expectations hold us back because God can only do that through us, whatever we believe in. We should seek the things of God as a priority over the things of the world.

Bible Verse for Today

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? (Matthew 16:26)

Be careful not to get to the point that is “all right mentally.” We do not want to be average because we do not serve any average god. God is a perfect God, and we want to follow His example. As stated in the Bible passage above, we can gain all that the world has to offer but miss the blessed life God wants to give us.

Living at the lowest level has a high price. Nothing in the world is worth so much that we should give up the beautiful, peaceful, happy, just, holy life that we can have in Christ on this earth. But, if you resist the will of God all your life and act according to your ideas, you live at the lowest level.

God wants you to be fine, but he does not want you to take care of it yourself. Therefore, you should not attach more importance to other things than God. Remember, all the good he has in store for you will be yours if you first look for Him and His Kingdom. This is life at the highest level!

Seek First the Kingdom of God Prayer for Today

Lord, we are seeking your salvation, living in obedience to you, and sharing the good news of the Kingdom with others. God, help us to keep our eyes fixed on you. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
