Stay Focused on Jesus in Your Life – Prayer for May 1. There is time for everything in this world, and there are stages we must go through to become successful. Let’s tell God to help us through these stages of life and to be successful.
Bible Verse for Today
“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” (1 Corinthians 13:11)
When a child is born, it is not expected to start walking or talking immediately.
The child can’t start taking solid food or start doing what an adult can do. The child must go through a process of stages of life before becoming an adult. In this way, everyone on Earth will go through the same process. You desire to be successful or to achieve something, but before you achieve that particular thing, there are stages you must go through. These stages are what prepare you for the next stage. Each stage has challenges, or we can call them “tests.”
It is like schooling: before you can get to the next level, you must take an exam that determines your readiness for the higher level.
When you go through a hard time, you don’t have to give up because it is an examination that you must pass to go to the next stage. Joseph went through hurdles, but he didn’t give up because he knew he was going to a better place.
What we need to do is to focus on Jesus as we go through each stage in life – by doing this, we become successful and achieve what we desire to achieve.
Prayer for Today
Your word is food to the soul, Lord. As I meditate on your word today, let me grow spiritually and in every other area of my life. Give me the strength to go through life’s process. In this process, Lord, I know there would be challenges, and I receive the courage and the grace to face them and conquer them. Let me be successful and never allow me to stray from your plans. I promise to stay focused on Jesus in my life. Amen.
