The Cornerstone of Grace – Daily Devotional for October 8

The Cornerstone of Grace daily Devotional for October 8

Throughout history, God has been molding a grand design, a divine tower of love and salvation. Christ is the cornerstone of this structure, which many dismissed and rejected. Yet, in the divine paradox, the One who was cast aside became the foundational stone upon which the entire structure of salvation was built. Jesus is the Cornerstone of Grace.

Daily Devotional for October 8

“Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.” (Matthew 21:42-43)

The Cornerstone of Grace

Imagine a grand building rising high, its towering walls, intricate archways, and majestic domes. Yet, it all rests upon a single cornerstone, which holds the weight, provides stability, and ensures longevity. This cornerstone is Jesus, the one many overlooked, yet God recognized as essential.

Delving deeper into the profound message:

Rejection to Elevation

It is a profound mystery of faith how God takes what the world rejects and elevates it to a place of prominence. Jesus, rejected by many, became the Savior for all.

You may have noticed the strange thing that people are prepared to believe in the Universe, in cosmic energy, in angels, in anything as long as they don’t have to believe in Jesus.

Divine Perspective

While human judgments are based on outward appearances and transient factors, God’s vision penetrates deeper, recognizing value where others see none.

Responsibility of Faith

Being chosen and blessed by God isn’t just a privilege; it comes with the responsibility of bearing fruit. Our faith is not a dormant treasure but a living seed meant to produce abundant fruit.

Continuous Reminder

Whenever we face rejection, misunderstandings, or undervaluation, let us remember the cornerstone. If God can elevate the rejected stone to the most critical place in the building, imagine what He has in store for each of us.

Invitation to Build

We are invited to build our lives upon this cornerstone, ensuring that our beliefs, actions, and values align with Jesus’s teachings and love.

Jesus is our cornerstone of grace, holding us firm, guiding our path, and reminding us of God’s marvelous works.

Prayer for Today

Lord, the Grand Architect of Life, We are humbled and grateful for the cornerstone You have laid in Jesus. Teach us to recognize His unparalleled value, to lean on Him, and to mold our lives in His image.

When the world pushes us aside or undervalues our worth, please remind us of the cornerstone’s journey from rejection to elevation. Empower us to bear fruit in Your kingdom, to be diligent stewards of the faith entrusted to us. In the name of Jesus, our Cornerstone and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
