The psalmist said the word of the Lord is a lamp to his feet. It is clearly stated as “A lamp to my feet” and not “Like a lamp to my feet.” The word itself is a lamp, not “like” a lamp. What lamp makes things visible, illuminates, and shows the way?
That’s exactly what the word of the Lord is. It is a treasure map; it must be found first, and then it will lead you to Treasure Island, where you can discover as much treasure as you can, if not all.

Your word is a treasure. Help me find your word and let it in my heart, Lord. Let me be able to use it well and let it give me the power and courage I need. Amen.
