Trust the Lord at all Times – Prayer for April 1. As it’s been said by people, “the path to success is not straight.” This may be true, but when you depend on Jesus alone, he will make your path straight. So trust the Lord at all times.
Bible Verse for Today
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
We, as Christians, should not be bothered by how the path will be, whether it is rough or smooth; the most important thing to do is to depend on God.
If we rely on our own understanding, we will just keep falling, and things will not seem to be going well. God wants to help us get to where we are going in life, whether it is having a good job, building a good career, or having a healthy and godly family. This path is not always easy, as we encounter things that will give us a hard time.
Leaning on God is the easiest way to get these things done; it is like taking the fastest route when on a trip.
Trusting in the Lord shouldn’t be hard for us to do. God has done so much for people who trusted in him, and it is recorded in the scriptures. One awesome thing about God straightening our path is that he himself will guide us so we don’t go astray into evil. According to the passage, another condition for God to make our paths straight is that we submit ourselves to him.
Let’s submit ourselves to God today, and all that seems impossible would be made possible.
Prayer for Today
Lord, help me not to lean on my own understanding of this path of success I’m taking, but in everything I do, acknowledge you so that you can direct my steps and straighten my path. Let my thoughts, my words, and my actions be in line with your plans for me. If the path seems rough for me, by your grace, Lord, straighten it for me and never leave me on this journey. Amen.
