Advent. WAITING ON THE LORD Prayer for December 1

waiting on the Lord

Advent. Waiting on the Lord – Prayer for December 1. The world is tired of rising and falling, tired of darkness. There is a need to step into the light and focus on rising alone. This is why the world is awaiting the Lord to manifest.

Bible Verse for Today

“Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord  is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.” (Isaiah 30:18)

What makes the world wait on the Lord is the promise that is attached to His coming. So much commotion in the world and sorrow has taken over. This is happened because of the sin that has been brought upon every soul through Adam, the first man on the earth.

We need salvation and now the prophecy has come. God has promised that he will save us from the result of sin which is death. Sometimes waiting for something that you have not seen yields to giving up.

In other words, God promised that those who wait will be rewarded. Isaiah 40:31 “but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

One day the wait will be over and the world will rejoice in the coming of the Lord just like the first time. In this same way, it doesn’t matter what we are waiting on the Lord for. If we have faith and keep waiting, God will renew our strength and make us refreshed every day. Hannah waited on God and He rewarded her with children.

Jesus has promised to come and attend to our situations just like He came to the world to save, He will come into our problems and help us. His words cannot go unfulfilled. He is coming back with the solution to our problems and the wait will be over.

Waiting on the Lord Prayer for Today

Dear Lord, I trust in your word and I believe that you will come in your power to deliver us from this sinful world. I believe you will come to transform us and get us into your light so we can be a light that shines into the world too. Renew our strength daily as we wait on you, Lord. Amen.
