Correct your mistakes – Prayer for January 7. Every human on earth is bound to make mistakes, but one must learn to accept them and correct them. Let’s tell God to teach us to correct our mistakes.
Bible Verse for Today
“And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation.” (Daniel 4:37)
When you wake up in bed in the morning and get dressed to go out and do your daily work, you look at the mirror to check if you look good. While checking yourself out in the mirror, you discover you made a mistake putting on your clothes. What must be done is to correct it immediately to avoid making mistakes.
In the same way, mistakes we have made can leave us in a bad state and reshape our destinies.
There is a need to get into these mistakes and address them. We really need to take a deeper look at our lives and check for mistakes. Some mistakes are not made yesterday or the day before; they might have been made a long time ago. King Nebuchadnezzar realized his mistake at the end, and he corrected it.
To fear God means to avoid evil and walk in God’s ways.
Anytime we make mistakes, they might become sin. This is the reason why God sent Jesus to die for us – every man has made a mistake. Sin has come into the earth through a man; it has become our nature to make mistakes. This is the time to start correcting our mistakes.
The Bible says that if anyone denies having made a mistake or committed a sin, then he or she is nothing but a liar (1 John 1:8).
One thing must be done before correcting your mistakes: identify the mistake and accept that you have made one. When this is done, then correcting it will be easy through Christ.
Prayer for Today
Father Lord, I thank you for all you have done for me. I know I have made some terrible mistakes in the time past, I believe you can wipe them away and give me a new start. Lord, help me identify my mistakes and correct myself by your power in Christ Jesus. Amen.
