Activate the power of God in you – Prayer for January 17. We are Christians and we carry Jesus in us, then we carry the power of God in us also. Let’s tell God to teach us to activate the power in us.
Bible Verse for Today
“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name, they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues” (Mark 16:17).
The modern-day Christians don’t believe in this particular part of the Bible, they thought it was just an exaggeration but Jesus wasn’t exaggerating; he meant his words. What he said is something we must activate in us too. The Apostles activated this power and they performed miracles. Start working in faith and do miracles because that’s part of what we are called for.
You can activate the power in you, use it to heal people but find it hard to use it on yourself. Some will lay hands on the sick and they get healed but when they are sick, it doesn’t work on them. Elisha requested for the double portion of Elijah’s power, which means he has power more than Elijah. Yet, Elijah didn’t die of sickness but Elisha, with the powers he has, couldn’t just heal himself. You must activate the power to work for you too because it is in you that Christ lives. When Paul was bitten by a snake, he didn’t die because he activated the power to work for him.
When you activate the power in you, whatever you lay your hands on will surely prosper.
Power of God Prayer for Today
I activate the power of God in me today and I stand against any power that wants to contend with me today. I am more than a conqueror by the power of Christ. So I begin to operate above every limitation.
I receive the power to do miracles and to do great exploits. Jesus said we will do greater works than what he has done, today, I activate that power in me to do miracles. Let the power work for me also, increase my faith in your power and let people feel your mighty power in me today. Amen.
