Do everything for the glory of God – Prayer for December 2. We all are the image of God. Our task is to make an invisible God visible to all people. We glorify God with our lives. Glorifying God in everything means we honor Him in our thoughts and actions.
Bible Verse for Today
“One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.” (Romans 14:5)
As Christians, we should entirely give God our lives “so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10). Often we rate our ordinary and everyday tasks differently than the “spiritual” things. As a result, we feel closer to God when we do what we think is “holy.”
We have to realize that, in reality, there is no separation between “ordinary” and “holy” – it only exists in our heads. Everything we do, we should do for God. And when we do it with a pure heart and out of love, it becomes holy. You can do ordinary tasks like shopping, which will be as sacred as praying as long as you do everything for the glory of God and glorify Him.
For some people, Bible study and prayer may look more sacred than ordinary activities. But for one who is truly free in the Lord, everything is equally sacred, for whatever he does- he does for the glory of God. So decide today to sanctify everything you do by doing it for the glory of God.

God, we thank you for our lives, that we were created in your image. We want our lives to be holy and bring you our everyday activities to increase your glory. Let everything we do be for the glory of you, Almighty God. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
