Living surrendered life to God – Prayer for June 24. It is in Christ that all the known treasures we need in this life are. If we must get the treasures, we must be ready to live a surrendered life to God to have full access to them.
Bible Verse for Today
“Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38 )
Once you give your life to Christ, you will receive different gifts from God Himself. We need to be careful not to rely on our knowledge if we want to find treasures.
Satan himself will come with his own treasure to distract us from focusing on the real source, which is Jesus. Satan will give what will destroy a life; he gives in order to exchange something worth more from our lives. 2 Corinthians 11:14 “But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”
The fact is that without Christ, we cannot discover any treasure. John 14:6 “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” What sin does is that it covers your eyes from seeing the hidden treasure of God for your life.
When you are born again, you kill the old self, the life of sin, and you are raised to be alive in Christ – you are also raised to his power, and with the power you can discover all treasures. Romans 6:11 “In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
Surrender all to Jesus today, and your eyes will be opened. Great opportunities, gifts of different kinds, would be yours from God the Father. He has promised us all these treasures – let’s get them in Christ.
Prayer for Today
Dear Lord, I believe that in you all treasures are hidden. I therefore surrender all that I have to you so that all treasures can be mine. Just like the man who sold all he had just to buy a land full of treasure, I give all of myself to you. I promise to live a surrendered life to God. Amen.
